How-To:
- Make an empty "Days of Creation" scrapbook.
- Choose a living science book.
- Parent reads section of the book aloud.
- Children make a scrapbook illustrating what they learn from the chapter ("narration" with art supplies)
- After scrapbook page is finished (and dry!) add that page to the "Days of Creation" scrapbook under the appropriate day (and possibly sub-section).
Optional:
- Provide different kinds of art supplies (tempera paints, chalks, pastels, etc.) at different "science" sessions enabling children to experiment with different types of media.
- For the non-participating art student, offer to the student the option of writing a narration of the day's reading either in prose or poetry.
